- We are a group of tourist and we would like to join one of your tours. However, we have seen your calendar and we cannot make on the scheduled dates. Would it be possible to organise a separate tour for us?
a. If your ticket includes transfers, the meeting point is outside our shop/office, see map: here ("Los Cancajos", Breña Baja). Picking up time will be included on the confirmation email or ticket. Please, be there 10 mins before picking up time (see transfer conditions).
b. If your ticket does not include transfer, please see map and times included in your confirmation email.
c. For groups, it is possible to have an alternative picking point. For availability please email us at: email@example.com
Tours will take place in one of several viewpoints around the island of La Palma. The best places are usually at high altitude to avoid cloud cover. However, we cannot know in advance the viewpoint that we will choose for a tour since the choice will depend on weather conditions that date. We will tell you at picking time.
Our guides speak English and Spanish. Tours in German language are possible but subject to availability of guides. For Dutch, French and Italian, please request more info at firstname.lastname@example.org
Activities usually takes 1.5hrs to 2 hrs, depending on type of activity and number of participants.
Prices for all our activities and services are in Euros. Payments in advance can be made via paypal or credit card. Also, you can purchase your tickets in our office in Los Cancajos, Breña Baja. Some local travel agencies, hotels and tourist information offices have our events and/or tours on sale.
For a tour with transfers a minimum number of passangers is required. As sometimes this minimum number is not reached, clients can still participate in our safari driving their own cars up to the view points. Fare difference between tour with transfers and without will be reimbursed.
Our cancelation terms and conditions is as follows:
a. If you cancel.
We are concious that your plans may change. Your fare will be reimbursed if you cancel at least 24h in advance. Notice of cancellation must be made to email@example.com in writing as soon as possible (you´ll received a confirmation email). However, a 20% deposit is non-refundable upon cancellation by you.
b. Cancellation due to adverse weather conditions.
Astronomy activities will take place if weather conditions allow night sky observation. A tour or activity may be cancelled due to weather conditions. Options in these cases are that: we refund your fare, we offer an alternative date for your tour/activity or else, we offer an alternative astronomy activity, if available. Under no circumstances can we be held responsible for cancellation due to weather conditions. We strongly advice you give us a contact telephone/hotel name & room number to inform you in case of cancellation.
c. For bookings through authorised agencies, consult conditions directly.
Yes. We currently offer a 10% discount on online bookings. For groups, we also have discounts depending on group size.
The calendar of our astronomy activities including safaris and events is published on our web. Safaris take place on Mondays and Saturdays. Although there may be changes due to weather conditions. Starparties & requested events are not published on our website.
Our guides are astrophysicists with previous experience in teaching, science communication, astronomical instrumentation and they are also amateur astronomers. Astrolapalma.com is a delegation of Astrocamp Ventures SL. in La Palma (www.astrocamp.es) which provides astronomy services such as: management of robotic observatories, telescopes hosting, astronomy tours and internet access to the world's largest network of observatories: www.iTelescope.net.
Astronomy safaries are safe. However, they take place at night. We recommend clients to follow some basic safety guidelines. On the other hand, it is extremely important for you to bring winter clothing to the activity as temperature may drop at night, even in summer.

For special events or groups it is possible to organise an additional tour. However, minimum number of clients apply. This is also subject to availability of guides and equipment.
